During their several-day visit to Latvia, the delegation met with representatives of public authorities and sectoral organisations to learn about approaches to nature conservation, forestry and rural area management in Latvia.<\/p>\n

During the visit to the Nature Conservation Agency, Andris \u0160irovs introduced the delegation to the Agency\u2019s responsibilities, areas of work and experience in nature conservation in Latvia. Agnese Rudus\u0101ne, representing the LatViaNature project, presented the project\u2019s main activities and achievements to date.<\/p>\n

Following the presentations, the delegation took part in an educational walk through Gauja National Park, guided by LatViaNature experts Sandra Ikauniece and Maija Medne. During the visit, the guests learned about the \u2018Blooming Meadows\u2019 pilot programme, forest habitats, and nature conservation and management practices in Gauja National Park.<\/p>\n
