LatViaNature invites “Let’s Catch Alien Species in Latvian Nature” by reporting dangerous invasive species
The LatViaNature project of the Nature Conservation Agency is launching the campaign “Let’s Catch Alien Species in Latvian Nature!” with the aim to facilitate understanding of people about harmful invasive species, the threats they pose to the nature of Latvia, as well as to inform about the need to report observations of these species in nature on the website www.invazivs.lv. The campaign will be launched on May 19 at the Latgale Embassy “Gors” in Rēzekne City by the premiere of the movie “The Detectives of Invasive Species” along with a discussion with invasive species experts. During the campaign, anybody will have the opportunity to learn the methods of eradicating invasive species together with nature experts in the “Let’s Catch Alien Species in Latvian Nature!” voluntary event on June 15, 2023, in the Nature Reserve Vecdaugava.
